Established in 1983 in New York's Chelsea neighborhood, Chelsea Frames soon distinguished itself with its unique approach to custom framing. Changing hands early in 1995 to it's present owner, this "neighborhood" framing shop was soon hailed by Art Business News (October 1995 issue) as being "a leading force in encouraging and supporting the art movement to Chelsea," New York's new Soho. Since then, Chelsea Frames has become a distinguished framing studio and gallery quoted in New York Magazine (June 1999) as "well  worth the drive into the city." Voted "Best of New York", 2003 & 2004, New York Magazine The current owner, Daniel Beauchemin (interior designer and member of ASID, American Society of Interior Designers) believes that every client deserves time and attention. This is why the associates he employs have art or art-related backgrounds and will take the time to offer the best products and design choices for each custom-framing project. Chelsea Frames' client base includes many leading New York art galleries (Sears Payton Gallery, Gagosian Gallery, John Stevenson), movie production companies (recent films include: The Devil Wears Prada, Spiderman III,The Producers, Mona Lisa Smile, and a host of others, some to be released soon), achitects such as Steven Gambrel, and corporate clients (Tommy Hilfiger, Todd Oldham, Polo-Ralph Lauren,   Condé Nast, and many of New York's, Los Angeles', and Miami's top interior designers).
